Oleochemical storage and transfer operations frequently face thermal and flow management challenges due to the temperature-sensitive behavior of fatty acids, glycerine derivatives, fatty alcohols, PFAD, and other oleochemical products. As temperature decreases, viscosity increases and flow characteristics become unstable, leading to restricted circulation, difficult pumping, transfer delays, crystallization risks, and localized solidification within storage tanks, pipelines, and transfer systems. Many facilities continue depending on continuous diesel or electrical reheating to sustain operational flow conditions, resulting in high energy consumption, repeated reheating cycles, uneven thermal conditions, and increased operational costs.
TFA (Terminal Flow Assurance) is a solar thermal integrated industrial thermal management approach designed to support continuous pumpability and more stable thermal conditions across oleochemical storage and transfer infrastructure. By integrating solar thermal systems with existing or new operations, TFA helps reduce reheating dependency, improve circulation stability, support transfer continuity, and lower diesel and electrical heating consumption across oleochemical facilities.
